SILK FUSION ROUND BASE BASKET

1 Day Workshop
For the inner basket, using archival paper; students will weave a round
spoked base and plain weave sides. Then, with a variety of color choices,
you will learn the technique of silk fusion. The silk is applied as the
outer layer of the basket with optional embellishment of feathers and
metallic threads. A crimped rim will finish the basket.
Dimensions: 4" x 4" x 4" H
Level: Intermediate

SILK FUSION CAT'S HEAD BASKET

2 Day Workshop
For the inner basket, using archival paper; students will weave 2 cat's head
baskets with twill bases and plain weave sides. With a variety of color choices,
students will learn the technique of silk fusion. The silk is applied as the outer
layer of the basket with optional embellishments of feathers and metallic threads.
A rim technique, using beads as decoration, will finish the basket.
Two baskets will be completed.
Dimensions: round - 5" x 5" x 4" H / oval - 6" x 4.5" x 3.5" H
Level: Intermediate - Advanced

SILK CURLS BASKET

2 Day Workshop
For the inner basket, using archival paper; students will weave a cat's head basket
with a twill base and sides. After weaving the basket, paper curls will be added as
an embellishment. With a variety of color choices, students will learn the technique
of silk fusion. The silk is applied to the outside of the basket with optional
embellishment of metallic thread.
Dimensions: 6.5" x 6.5" x 8" H
Level: Advanced

SILK FUSION TWILL BLOCKS

2 Day Workshop
For the inner basket, using archival paper; students will weave a 2/2 twill base
and 2/2 twill on three of the sides. The front will be woven in a twill block
pattern. With a variety of color choices, students will learn the technique
of silk fusion.
Dimensions: 5" x 5" x 8.5" H
Level: Advanced (twill experience necessary)

SILK FUSION TEA BASKET

1 Day Workshop
Using a mold and archival paper, participants will weave a twill base and
plain weave sides for the inner basket. With a variety of color choices,
students will learn the technique of silk fusion. The silk is applied as the
outer layer of the basket with optional embellishment of feathers and
metallic thread.
Dimensions: 6" x 3" x 2.5" H
Level: Beginner

SILK FUSION NECKLACE POUCH

1 Day Workshop
Using a mold and archival paper, participants will weave 2 plain weave
pouches for the inner baskets. With a variety of color choices, students
will learn the technique of silk fusion. The silk is applied as the outer
layer of the basket. There will be embellishment of feathers,
metallic thread and beads. Two pouches will be completed.
Dimensions: 2" H x 1.5" W x .5" D
Level: Beginner

SILK FUSION 'N LOOPED BASKET

2 Day Workshop
For the inner basket, using archival paper (already painted); students will weave
a round spoked base and plain weave sides. Then, with a variety of color choices,
you will learn the technique of silk fusion. The silk is applied as the outer
layer of the basket. Then, a partial third layer of wire, using a looping technique,
will be added.
Dimensions: 5" x 5" x 5.5" H
Level: Advanced
